For new beginners and experienced students alike, these classes utilize
the spectrum of yoga tools, techniques, theories, and practices. Students
can expect to shift to a clearer and more relaxed state of mind. |
Not for new beginners or people with chronic pain, these classes also
cover the spectrum of yoga possibilities, but are designed to give a
little challenge to the ones who have been practicing for awhile. Students
can expect to leave alert, clear, and knowledgeable about yoga. |
Combining postures with instrumental, subtler tools such as conscious
breathing, gestures, sound, and meditation techniques, we pacify an
overworked system while making room for a new and improved sense of
well-being. |
GET STRONG • GET FLEXIBLE • CONCENTRATE • BECOME VERY HAPPY • IMPROVE AT SPORTS. Beginning November 2nd -pre-register for 4 -week sessions, cost $60.
The classical, challenging yoga sequences which are popular amongst adults today were originally introduced exclusively to Indian children. The ripe, young, pliable body and active mind of the child and young adult is well suited for these more acrobatic disciplines. This class will challenge kids to sharpen their attention and stretch and strengthen their bodies to the max. |
This period of time is marked by physical/mental/emotional transformation,
and the yoga postures, breathing, and meditation we'll do in this class
will be adapted especially for this stage of life. Yoga's ancient
understanding of women is that they have a special eligibility to practice
yoga because of their great responsibility as a host for new life. The
child experiences what the mother experiences. This class will enable you
to bring out a strong trust in your capacity to go through the whole
process as well as connect with others currently have a similar
experience. |
The primary intention of this class is to clarify the main ideas presented
in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. With a strong foundation in these ideas,
yoga works more profoundly in your practice and life. We'll also do a
short practice following the discussion, if time permits. |
Learn non-denominational sanskrit chants from the vedas, yoga sutras, and other sources which are relevant to healing and transformation. |
Some discussion and a guided practice which utilizes simple movements, breathing, chanting, visualization, and gestures. Open to anyone who feels ready to look more deeply into the practices for which asana is meant to prepare us, pranayama and dhyanam, the subtler, more internal, transformative practices of Patanjali's ashtanga yoga. |
Yoga practices presented in this 45 minute class will gradually wind down
the whole system and relieve the stresses of the day. Gentle movement
along with breathing and meditation techniques, well-suited for all
levels, will ease accumulated tightness in the body and mind.
This is a 45 minute meditative yoga class for women who are undergoing/have undergone treatment for breast cancer. Appropriate calming and rejuvenating practices will be introduced to encourage the healing process.
